Dear Fargo Jaycee Members:

I am Alisha Milander, your 78^th Fargo Junior Chamber President and I am very honored to be your President for 2010.  I am from Madison, MN and came to the Fargo-Moorhead area to attend college at Concordia College in Moorhead from 2002 – 2006.  I currently work for Edward Jones Investments in West Fargo as a Branch Office Administrator and have been with them since September 2008.  Before joining the Edward Jones team, I worked for Roers Construction and Development and Professional Property Management as the Executive Assistant to the owners of the company and the Property Management Assistant.

I joined the Fargo Jaycees in December 2008 and have been a very active member since then.  I have experienced so many wonderful things through the Jaycees and encourage each and every member to make the most of the great things the Jaycees have to offer.  Through the Junior Chamber I have had the opportunity to compete in competitions that have allowed me to attend national conventions and travel to training academies.  I have also had the chance to network with and meet so many influential people that I wouldn’t have met otherwise.

My theme this year is “Working Together Today – Developing the Leaders of Tomorrow”.  I truly believe that you get out of this organization what you put into it.  Because of that, it is my goal this year to implement the “Total Jaycee” concept, which encourages the full development of all Areas of Opportunity in Management, Individual Development, Community Development, and International Development.  I believe that each member will have the opportunity to truly experience what the Junior Chamber can do for them through the Total Jaycee concept’s implementation.

I’m looking forward to a great year working with each of you to fulfill the mission and vision of the Junior Chamber and create a positive impact within our community.  Together I know we can make tomorrow a better time and place for our families, our communities, and our world.
